Of pearly coat and purple mane I write,
Of graceful motions, charming voice and mien.
But beauty, though, belies a mind as bright.
By beauty buried, talent lies, unseen!
This dazzling pony bears a gift divine:
With thread in hoof, she wields a technique grand,
Each stunning stitch a stroke in her design.
As yielding clay, cloth shifts at her command.
Indeed her works, refined, herself reflect,
Such fine aesthetic marvels does she form!
And doubtless all who see her art suspect,
They’re made to keep both heart and body warm.
No doubt a lilac mane could hold my eyes,
But beauty builders are a rarer prize.

I wrote this quite some time ago, shortly after visiting Carousel Boutique for the first time.  I… don’t remember it being quite this fawning.  I can’t disavow any of it, but… don’t show it to Sweetie Belle or Rarity, for my sake.

I literally could not put it better myself.  Seriously, I lack the poetic brilliance, not to mention patience!  Amazing poem, Rhyme Scheme!

As soon as I heard this line in Borderlands 2, I knew what had to be done.  Hopefully I can come back and add a background later.  For now, I’m off to make prints for Canterlot Gardens!
