f you were at Bronycon this weekend and saw this here thing everywhere, well I made it!
Unless you hated it, in which case it was…ah, AddressableRasterPointPuppies….
To everyone who stopped by/completely flooded my table and much of Row 400 for two days straight with friendship and magic- THANK YOU SO MUCH! I never imagined I would sell out of just about everything so quickly. I really thought I had significantly TOO MUCH merch on hand, but by close of business Friday I was already down to 1/3 of my stock. Your kindness and generosity are without measure. I met so many wonderful friends old and new, I am truly in awe of this fandom and the people who are part of it. I will have a proper write up and offer proper thanks and shout-outs after I decompress from the con for a few days.
As many of you may have heard, my very kind and observant neighbor back in Pittsburgh called about halfway through Saturday to tell me my home had been broken into. Mr. Kitties was away at the Run For Your Lives Zombie 5k and I was in Baltimore so there wasn’t much we could do. Thankfully, they were spotted quickly, the police were called, and nothing of tremendous value was taken except some beer (Pabst Blue Ribbon! Jokes on them!) my fancy mixer, and my DJ Pon3 SDCC toy that was sitting on the front steps after being delivered earlier in the day. The real damage was where they kicked their way in and out and trashed the kitchen. But it could have been far, far worse. Nothing of personal or sentimental damage was taken, the pets were safe, and we have awesome neighbors who look out for us while we’re away.
Of course, we know all this now. At the time it was terrifying and my sister and I had to leave the con Saturday night and rush home to Pittsburgh. I couldn’t have managed without an amazing group of friends around me at Trotcon helping me along with love, moral support, and strong backs hauling tables and equipment out for me Saturday. Thank you, a thousand, thousand, THOUSAND thank yous!
With St. Louis Crystal Fair and Nightmare Nights Dallas coming up, I’ll be back in convention mode soon enough. As of right now though, I’m on vacation and plan to take a few days to play video games as well as clean the house and recover it from convention prep/breaking and entering mode.
As I said, I’ll have a right and proper BronyCon post up in a few days. But for now, I wanted to make sure and let everyone know I am a-okay and I’m so proud of and thankful FOR you all. My friends, fellow vendors, convention staff, and all the fans of My Little Pony Friendship of Magic made this a truly incredible, successful, and brilliant weekend.
Thank you all and talk very soon!
